Culture of Hawaii
We got a glimpse of Hawaiian and Pacific Islands music and culture through the Luau Performance. The dances and music were captivating. We had seen nice images of such Performances and thought we could get some. We found two things: First, get there early even if you book front row seats. Second, there may be multiple stages where the performances take place. So, you may not be able to get shots of all the performances - even if you got front row seats for one stage.
Even though we got front row seats for one stage, others were far away and the lighting was dull. However for us, our 80-200 f2.8 lens and SB-800 flash saved the day to some extent. We shot with the lens wide open to get more light and get a faster shutter speed.
